August 4-2014

Largest Chinook : 44lbs.
Largest Halibut : 50lbs.

So the big dogs are in, we had a great few days on the water.  The weather was calm and the fish were biting.  The Chinook Salmon fishing was some of the best of the summer.  The big fish were all caught between Hick's Channel and the Honey Hole.  The few Cutpluggers did great but so did the 602 Hoochie, Diamond Lance Spoon and Party Girl.  The Coho were in thick all over the map, still averaging around 9-11 pounds with the occassional teenager coming in.  For both species, boats were trolling down further then 50 feet.  The water temperature is definitely some of the warmest readings we have seen in a few years.

The bottomfishing on the outside remain awesome, Isnor Rock and Wells have become the best bet for big snapper, Lingcod and Halis.

Forecast is great for the next week.  The fishing should continue to rage on.
