July 12-2010

Largest Chinook : 32lbs.
Largest Halibut : 25lbs.

The fishing was great the last couple of days.  Nice consistent catching all day long.  Most of the Chinook were being caught at the Dark Side(#10), Ryan's Hole still and on the western opening of Parker Passage there has been a little action from #2 to the Honey Hole as well.  These areas have seemed to be the best place to take advantage of the new runs of Chinook coming through the entire summer so far, especially after a good westerly blow.  The Coho again are widespread and nice to have around to fill the dry spots in the day.  Spoons are still working great as well as cutplugging.

The winds have been up for the past few days so venturing offshore for bottomfish has been almost impossible.  Halibut in the 15-25 lb. range are still coming off the various buoys planted close to the lodge, so guys are leaving with some white meat.

The forecast is looking good for weather, not much rain forecasted so the fishing should stay good over the next week.
