Largest Chinook : 46lbs.
Largest Halibut : 48lbs.

The past few days have been incredibly active.  The Chinook fishing was with out a doubt some of the best for sheer quantity we have seen.  A good deal of fish were all teenager size but lots of the big bad boys hit the dock, as well as the biggest of the summer so far.  THe weather was quite breezy over the past few days so the fishing spots were limited to the lee side of the islands from teh North west.  Number 5, number 7, Arnie`s Hole and Moore Island proved to be the best bets for good Chinook fishing.  For size, number 7 produced the most Tyees including the big one.  Most anglers were trolling spoons with flashers such as Watermelon, Diaomnd Lance, Party Girl with Purple Haze or Monkey Puke flashers.  The guys trolling cutplug did well off the downriggers as well.  Depths of 27 to 47 feet seemed to be best.

The halibut fishing was consistant for the chicken size halibut in Parker Passage, but the bigger ones were caught off the pinnacle ranging from 25 to 50 pounds.  Not much went on for offshore fishing this trip as it was fairly windy offshore.
