Largest Chinook : 40lbs.
Largest Halibut : 40lbs.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, which I have gotten a lot of this year...the fishing again has been awesome.  The wind was up so most of the time we spent salmon fishing over the past few days.  The bite was on all day long at various spots and some beauty slabs were pulled out.  Today alone 5 tyees were pulled off Rennison Island, the biggest being 40 pounds. The best spots to fish have been Arnie's Hole, The River(#7), 16 and 14(east side of Rennison) and #5(Ulric Point).  The Honey Hole produced some dandy's but the jelly fish in the bay have been making it almost impossible to fish without dealing with hang ups every minute.  Kettle Inlet was also great for the smaller Chinook but there is tons in there.  The Coho are mixed in with the Chinook but are heavily congregating on the North end of both Aristazabal and Rennison.  Protrolled herring, anchovy and spoons such as UV and watermelon were knocking the fish dead and caught at depths anywhere from 30 to 80 feet.  Bottom line is when a new batch of fish move in everyone is partaking in the catch.

Halibut fishing again is a little of a struggle but a good number were caught off the Pinnacle and in Parker Passage.  Heavy winds once again led to minimal time spent on halibut fishing.

Great trip, lots of happy faces.
