July 28-2010

Largest Chinook : 50lbs.
Largest Halibut : 40lbs.

The fishing was pretty good under the conditions that we had to deal with.  The Northwesterlies were very strong and really limited the areas we could fish for salmon.  Most of the fishing to be had was on the East side of Rennison Island and the North portion of Parker Passage.  Being that the fishing area was so small there were some outstanding fish caught throughout the past few days.  Out of a good number of Chinook landed one was over 40 and one coming in at 50.  Leads you to think if we had the space to roam, what the fishing could have been.  The Coho fishing still kept the guys busy all day long and insured that everyone left full on fillets.  The bottomfishing was minimal if any, but a few Halibut were caught off the Pinnacle at the #1 tie up.

The forecast is a good deal calmer and we are looking forward to what the next few days produce.
