July 6-2010

Largest Chinook : 36lbs.
Largest Halibut : 40lbs.

The fishing has been just fantastic.  The Chinook bites have been great and there is excellent action on Coho all over the place.  Lots of limits left the lodge in the past couple of days.  The weather has been nice and clear, a little on the windy side come the afternoon but the bites have been on all through out the day.  Some of the better fishing spots have been Ryan's Hole(#9), Arnie's Hole and SE Rennison Island(#7), and  the Honey Hole (2-3). All the spots seem to have a good mix of Chinook and Coho hanging around.  Most have been biting on either spoons(5-6") or cut plugging, and relatively shallow.  The Chinook are ranging from 15-25 pounds still and the Coho are between 7 and 13 pounds.

The wind has been up and made it a little tricky to get offshore for snapper and lingcod, but the Halibut fishing on the inside waters has been pretty good off the buoys in Parker Passage.
