July 6-2015

Largest Chinook : 50lbs.
Largest Halibut : 110lbs.
Fishing has been fantastic.  The Chinook and Coho are growing and biting all over the map.  Hotspots for Chinook have been Arnie's Hole, number 7, Honey Hole and Number 5 but more and more spots are popping up.  The Coho at the top end of the islands have been great and they are huge for this time of year.  We have had a few caught in mid teen range which rarely happens in early July.  The Honey Hole continues to spit out the hogs, biggest in the last week was 50 pounds.  Better methods for snagging some salmon have been protrolling herring, green flasher and hoochie, and green glow spoons. Cutplugging off the downrigger has also had really great results.  The range has been anywhere from 30 to 80 feet depending on area.
Halibut fishing was consistent but not hot.  Parker Passage drift spot was one of the most productive places.  The wind has been up just enough to not venture offshore so virtually no ground fishing was done.
