Largest Chinook : 28lbs.
Largest Halibut : 115lbs.

So first trip was a success, it started off with a bang with a flurry of fish on the first afternoon and morning.  We were plagued with a little foul weather yesterday so not much success was found out there however, the storm that came through shook up the fish quite a bit and the catches were a great deal more widespread on the map.  Number 5(Ulric Point), top end of Rennison Island and Borrowman Bay were where the best bites were had by far.  Borrowman Bay was definitely the most consistent throughout the trip for steady action and quality of fish.  Seemed that flashers with anchovy or irish creme spoons worked the best but success was also had on trolled herring.

The bottom fishing for snapper and lingcod was fairly good to start but tough today.

The halibut on the inside waters on the other hand is the best we have seen in years, so good it is hard to find a smaller slot size halibut.  Lots of Halibut brought off the pinnacle and the majority were between 30 and 50 pounds.

Coho have also started to show up today on Wall Island, more then likely because of the heavy rainfall that we have had is starting to fill up the local watersheds and bringing the Coho in for some good feeding before making their run.

All and all a great trip, lots of happy faces and full fish boxes.
