The past few days were a little inconsistent, a big low frontal system moved in today and slowed things up in some areas. Having said that #13 offered some great fishing this morning, all boats limited with great ease when the bite was on. Yesterday has great fishing around Preacher Rock, #7 and Kettle Inlet. A few fish were caught in the Honey Hole but no where near as active as in the previous week. Chinook are still running at a great average size for keeping in the mid to high teens with plenty of 20’s and a Tyee caught yesterday morning. There has been a blast of small feeders that have surged into the area, offering a lot of action but not suitable for the dinner plate for most. White or Dark (Glow)Flashers worked well in these heavy overcast and foggy days. The fish seemed a little deeper to around 57 -77 feet. The Halibut fishing on the other hand was off the charts, yesterday we had great flat water and the fleet bombed out to Russell Banks and absolutely hauled on 30-50 pound Halibut. Beauty keepers. The Sun is coming out and is going to stick around for a few days by the looks of it. We will have to see what it does to the fishing…all hopes are back to crazy.
