Our apologies, its been a couple of trips worth of fishing reports rolled in to this one. A little technical difficulties. The Chinook fishing has remained steady through August with impressive sizes still being landed. Over the past 10 days, there have been 18 Tyee caught, the largest being 47 and 45. A great deal in the high 30’s and most people are getting there share of high teens to mid 20’s. The hotspots continue to be Number 5 and Honey Hole, trolling flasher/anchovy combos definitely are working the best to entice the bite anywhere from 32 to 57 feet dependant on where the bait is sitting. The Coho are not thick but mixed in with the Chinook so the days have been offering an active mix for salmon. Halibut fishing remains a little bit of a struggle, Chicken Ranch is still performing well for smaller unders, while the Pinnacle and Russell Banks have been better for the larger keepers. Overall successful fishing with a few hurdles with the weather as of late, fairly windy and at times really wet which does tend to scoot the coho schools out of the area.
