How do we get to the lodge?

Departing the South Terminal of Vancouver Airport, Central Mountain Air will transport you to Bella Bella. From there, you’ll transfer to a Helijet International Sikorsky 76 helicopter for a spectacular ride to the lodge.

When should we travel to Vancouver, BC?

Your itinerary will detail your departure time from the South Terminal of Vancouver Airport. Our flights do check-in very early in the morning, you may choose to stay the night prior in accommodation close to the airport. Find partner hotels offering preferred guest rates in this PDF.

What time do we check-in at Vancouver?

Detailed itineraries are emailed directly to guests and/or group coordinators in the spring. Contact us for more information.

What happens when we arrive at the lodge?

A bite of lunch, a bit of paperwork, an orientation to current conditions, and then you’re into your boat and fishing in no time.

Can we book a flight home on our departure day?

Your itinerary indicates appropriate times to make homeward flight bookings. North King Lodge and our flying partners are not responsible for extra expenses incurred due to flight delays caused by weather or missed connecting flights.

Do you offer Travel Insurance?

We are affiliated with TuGo to provide trip cancellation and/or interruption insurance.  TuGo have a long history and great reputation for dealing with a variety of travel policies. They have offerings for Canadians travelling outside their home province, and for American and other visitors to Canada. Find out more here.

How can I pack 25 lbs?

It is possible to pack 25 lbs or less, and still have everything you need. Heavy items include: rain gear, boots, tackle, and especially wheeled, or hard-sided suitcases. We ensure you don’t need to pack heavy items by providing rain gear and rubber boots. We include an extensive array of rods, reels, salmon trolling tackle and groundfish tackle so you don’t have to pack it in.

Do you have Cell service and/or Wifi?

We encourage our guests to unplug and truly relax.  There is no cellular service at the lodge.  For those times when you really need to stay in touch with the real world, there is WiFi available for a nominal fee.
